Deep sea fishing in Sogndalstrand


Throughout history, the ocean has provided for the village of Sogndalstrand in Rogaland, and the area has a fascinating coastal culture. You can now visit the area to take part in deep-sea fishing in the waters between Egersund and Lista, a wild and beautiful part of Norway. It is only a short sail from the harbour to the open ocean and plenty of wonderful fishing spots.

The fishing trip starts in the idyllic fishing village of Nesvåg, which lies out on the coast.

Nesvåg is home to an old Fiskarheim or fisherman's cabin from 1883 and an exhibition of old boat engines, maritime objects and fishing tackle.

Deep-sea fishing – 3 hours   NOK 6,500.00
You sail out into the open ocean to fish against the backdrop of the beautifully dramatic Dalane coastline, home to a vital coastal fishing culture. You can try pulling e.g. nets and pots that have been in the water for some time, and a range of different fishing methods. You can also use your own fishing tackle if you prefer.

Fishing trip with experienced skipper/guide onboard the wonderfully restored shrimp trawler, MS Sjødis
Fishing tackle
Transport from your hotel to the harbour in Nesvåg or pick-up by the jetty
Life jacket, thermal suit and boots
Entertaining stories on the trip and admission to the exhibitions at Nesvåg Motor Museum

Deep-sea fishing - 6 hours   NOK 9,900.00
Package as above, in addition to simple cooking of your catch onboard, served with flatbread, butter and potatoes.
